The battle for the Lost Shores

This weekend we fought for control of a small island just off the coast of Lions Arch

In the evening, once we had all gathered, we boarded one of the Lion Ships that had docked at Lions Arch and set sail for The Lost Shores

As soon as we landed on the dark isle, we set up a defensive perimeter

We were targeted and attacked almost immediately

A almighty Karka attacked, but we fought it off valiantly

Wounded, it tried to flee, but we gallantly gave chase, through long abandoned makeshift camps and ancient stash mounds

It reared one final time, until eventually it lay there, slain before us. Now, at last, we could survey our new land

This was not the idyllic paradise we had been promised. It was a festering hell hole, devoid of life, save for that of the miserable Karka

As the sun was now risen, we made our way back to the ship to report our findings to the rest of the crew and collect supplies

Upon searching the island we found many wonderous sights.

We found pink and blue mists gushing from underwater caverns

And bizarre new creatures that could crush a group of soldiers in one fell swoop

Vincent the Golem, pictured here posing next to a Giant Karka, was a useful ally in the battles

Eventually we found an ancient Karka, the leader no less. We chased it, deep underground, where lava sucked at our boots and long dead whispers did stir

Success! We pushed the ancient Karka deeper and deeper, until the lava's lure was too much for its weakened frame. Splashing wildly it fell, and crawling it tried to escape one final time

But, the Lava's touch was too much for the Ancient Beast, and here finally it fell. This was not the end of the battles, but for today we could rest and head back to ours homes. Not so for the Ancient Leader, forever destined to remain, crawling.
